Honda Repsol Team’s brand-new driver, Alex Marquez, claimed to have begun to comfortably ride a motorcycle in his new team. Even so, he feels he will continue to learn so that the sweet results can be harvested in his debut season in MotoGP.
Alex has just tested the Honda motorbike in the 2020 MotoGP pre-season test which took place at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Valencia. In the two-day test, from 19-20 November 2019, he rode the 2019 Honda motorbike.
Indeed, the results obtained by Alex in the two-day test did not bear fruit. On the first day, the younger brother of Marc Marquez had even fallen when he was passing in the 10th corner. In the overall results of the first day’s test, his name could only be in the most distended order.
However, the improvement was shown by Alex on the second day. The 2019 Moto2 champions can fill 20th place by recording a time of 2.338 seconds adrift of Maverick Vinales (Yamaha) who came out as the fastest. Finding these results, Alex was determined to show a much better performance in the next test which will take place at the Jerez Circuit, Spain, on 25-26 November 2019.
Things are going better than expected, especially when it comes to motorcycles. I already feel comfortable with the motorbike, but of course, there are still some improvements that must be done,” said Alex, as quoted by Speedweek, Thursday (21/11 / 2019).
Is that a difficult motorbike? I have not found a limit to understand that. Right now, I feel comfortable with everything. I have to keep doing this and keep improving. “As I said, I must find a limit to understanding what I need to increase even more. ( Source )
