Ant-Man 3 Will Become a Fantastic Four Entrance to the MCU?

Less than a week after Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas were confirmed to be returning to the Ant-Man franchise, theories about the three Marvel superhero films had sprung up. One of the highlights is that the film Ant-Man 3 will be the perfect entry point for the Fantastic Four to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

This theory was brought up by a Reddit account called ak2sup. According to him, the Quantum World that has not been well explored at MCU is the perfect place to introduce the Fantastic Four. Ant-Man 2 introduces this place better. It is possible, Quantum World will be more told in Ant-Man 3 directed by Peyton Reed.

“The Quantum City we saw in Ant-Man and the Wasp played an important role in introducing F4 and Kang (the Conqueror – one of the villains in the Marvel world). I believe that the city is Chronopolis, the city of Kang the Conqueror. My theory is that the Fantastic Four were trapped in the Quantum World during the 1960s, when they went to that world for the first time – they were defeated in the N zone (the more dangerous part of the quantum world) and they had to face the Negative Zone Lord (like Annihilus or Blastaar ), but they are stuck there in the process. I believe that it was not an accident, but a planned action by Kang who wanted Reed Richards for his own desires because Reed was the great-grandfather of Nathalie Richards alias Kang. I guess, at the end of Ant-Man 2,

In addition to explaining why Fantastic Four has not been in the MCU so far, the theory also introduces a Marvel villain who can leapfrog time, Kang the Conqueror. With Thanos gone, the MCU needs a new big villain who is able to challenge the MCU superheroes and Kang can become a super genius villain for that. With the MCU nudging the multiverse idea in Spider-Man: Far From Home and the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness movie next year, Kang clearly fits into the MCU’s future plans without the hassle.

At the San Diego Comic-Con some time ago, Marvel Studio president Kevin Feige said he did not have time to discuss Fantastic Four. From this, we know that their introduction to the MCU is crucial. The above theory is very fitting to bring them into the universe.

Last week, Michael Douglas said Ant-Man 3 would start shooting in early 2021. This made the film go into Phase 5 of the MCU with the possibility of airing it in 2022 so that it would give plenty of time for this franchise to introduce elements that could lead to the introduction of the Fantastic Four.
