Clippers Defeat Trail Blazers, Doc Rivers: Our attacks are below average

LA Clippers managed to win 107-101 over the Portland Trail Blazers in the continuation of the 2019/2020 NBA regular season, Friday (11/08/2019) afternoon WIB. However, Clippers Coach Doc Rivers said he was not satisfied with his team’s attack on the match at the Staples Center.

Although Clippers’ attacks are not good, they have a strong defense. It was seen since the first quarter while holding the Blazers with a 26-22 advantage. The host then continued to reduce the Blazers attack, to widen the advantage to 47-40 in the second quarter.

“Blazers then appeared very aggressive and turned ahead in the third quarter with the numbers 76-70. However, the Clippers were able to retaliate in the fourth quarter, and ensure victory thanks to an additional 37 points.

The Kawhi duo Leonard and Lou Williams again became the Clippers’ main weapons. Leonard scored 27 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists. While Williams posted 26 points, three rebounds, and eight assists. However, Rivers felt just the defense that contributed to giving victory.

In my opinion, this victory was achieved thanks to our solid defense. While our attacks are below average. If you can win with an attack that is not too good, then it clearly looks like what our ability, “Rivers told ESPN.

The success of the Clippers conquered the Blazers as well as being Rivers’ 900th victory as a coach in the NBA. However, he felt that his achievement could not be realized, without the players who worked hard.

“The most important are the players, and they make me better. Those who appear on the field and open fire. All of my achievements can be achieved thanks to their hard work.”
