Swiss tennis player Roger Federer talks about his relationship with two of his toughest rivals, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. Although often involved in fierce battles on the field, Federer still has a good relationship with the two players.
However, if you look deeply, the winner of 20 Grand Slam titles claimed to have a much closer relationship with Nadal than Djokovic. Even so, Federer admitted more often met with Djokovic in the match.
Even so, Federer claimed to really enjoy the competition with the two top players in the world. For him, the duel that brought him to Nadal and Djokovic was always a beautiful battle.
With Nadal, Federer himself has competed 40 times. The meeting record was surpassed by Nadal who has won 24 wins. While with Djokovic, there were more meetings, which were 54 times. Federer also recorded 26 wins over the Serb.
It’s quite special seeing what the three of us are doing at the same time. They (Nadal and Djokovic) are extraordinary players. I might be a little closer to Rafa (Nadal) than Novak (Djokovic). But at the same time, I more often play with Novak more than Rafa, “Federer said, as quoted by Tennis World USA, Thursday (11/21/2019).
The competition is fantastic and I hope there will be more to come. The match against Rafa this year at the French Open and Wimbledon was incredible. Likewise against Novak, I had a great match at Wimbledon of course and also at the World Tour Finals in London last week. So, hopefully, more will come. ( Source )
