November 14th Event: Czechoslovakia Becomes Republic and Mountain Eruption Kills 23 Thousand People

Various important events and history occur every day, including on November 14th.

Therefore, Legal tries to summarize some of the events that occurred today, as follows.

1918 – Czechoslovakia becomes Official Republic:

Czechoslovakia officially became a republic and was founded following the collapse of the Kingdom of Austria-Hungary after World War I.

Nevertheless, this country only lasted until 1993. After that, Czechoslovakia split into the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, and part of its territory joined with Ukraine.

1969 – Apollo 12 is launched:

Apollo 12, which is one of the Apollo Program missions from Nasa, officially launched a spaceship to reach the moon.

At that time, Apollo 12 was launched from the Kennedy Space Center Complex 39 in Florida, United States on November 14, 1969.

Then, it landed on November 19, 1969, at Oceanus Procellarum, the Moon, and returned to Earth on November 24, 1969.

1985 – Mount Nevado del Ruiz Erupts:

Mount Nevado del Ruiz, located near the City of Armero, Colombia erupted and spewed lava that almost buried the city.

As a result of the natural disaster, around 23,000 people were killed. Now, residents around call Mount Nevado del Ruiz as “Sleeping Lion” because it is feared to erupt again at any time.
